Oil Water Separation: DAF System
How it Works?
Coagulation is used as a pretreatment in Pact’s DAF system, where coagulants are added to help larger particles clump together and settle at the bottom of the floatation tank basin. Afterwards, air is introduced into the system, forming tiny bubbles that adhere to the suspended matter and causing the remaining suspended solids to float to the surface, where it can be removed by a skimming device. The combination of coagulation and air diffusion allows the system to effectively separate and remove both larger and smaller contaminants from the water.
